Jay Park's Lyrical Romance

Guess what, guys? I have tarsal tunnel syndrome. Don't know what that is? Well, neither do I quite frankly but it hurts like a bitch and I have to wear a stupid ugly walking boot for the next few days. And because I have to wear the bulky thing on my foot, I can't really walk, and since I can't walk, I can't work.

But that isn't stopping me from totally laughing my ass of at Jay Park's new mixtape he released via YouTube. It's amazing, if you haven't had the chance to listen to it. And by amazing, I mean hysterical.

I first listened to "BODY2BODY." It sounds like dubstep meets early 90's club music. I totally see greasy men in shiny suits a la Night at the Roxbury jamming out to this song. Naturally, if you were to play this in a night club, the beat alone would suffice. But it isn't just background music, which makes me sad.

The lyrics "I don't want to be a creep, but I want you tonight," ... dude, that right there is in fact creepy. Imagine a guy coming up to you at a club, ladies, and saying, "I don't want to be a creep, but I want you." Wouldn't you throw your drink in his face and call security?

"Now put your hands in the air if you're having a good time, say oooooooh." Um, what?

"If you wanna dance and drank," SERIOUSLY. DRANK??

Then I listened to "William Hung," which automatically had me rolling because of the title ... but then the tears started flowing at what happened next.

It was bad. It was so bad. So bad that my computer stopped playing it.

For real.

Photobucket

Awful.

It was as if after rhyming "viagra" with "Niagra" my computer said "Fuck this garbage," and gave up on it's technological life. But being the dedicated blogger I am, I had to sweet talk my computer into working again. It's like a bad car accident, you just have to look.

The most eloquent, thought provoking, poetic lyrics are below, guys. I mean, seriously ...

Ha if there's a fuck I don't give it, My life I live it
Champagne I drink it, No glass bottle clutched in my hand its finished
Middle finger to all of you hating on me on that bitch shit
This shit be a gun, It bangs it bangs
Your hair in the front, It bangs it bangs
A gang on a slut, it bangs it bangs
This be William Hung cause it bangs it bangs
... just so deep.
"A gang on a slut," my how charming. Such a gentleman, ladies. Wow, all of you who become his groupies sure are lucky.
Just as an FYI ... if a man has any ounce of respect for a woman, he'd never refer to her as a slut. Not in personal life, not in the spotlight.
More poetry, you ask?
Fine chick just passed man im eyeing her twice
Third time and I’m making her my wife for tonight
So just sit back relax enjoy the show
As I spit raps and facts with the coldest flows
Yeah I’ll go refrigerator on yah
Half my face missing I’ll go terminator on yah
Donald trump cause I’m giving girls the business
I’mmah dog pound cause I’m getting all these bitches
Once again, ladies so lucky. One of you will be his wife tonight. Probably the one with her boobs popping out the most. The slut next to her in the five inch stilettos, you'll be his wife tomorrow night. And he's getting all of you bitches so no need to argue over who goes first.
I wish I could take this seriously, but this is utter crap and if you think this is "good" music ... I'm sorry, I don't mean to ridicule you for your tastes, but this is nothing but a joke.
As I can't take more of this ... um, music ... I have to finish with "Be With Me 2Night." At first, I thought this was the least repulsive song from a woman's standpoint. Sure, the "girl you're different from these girls I've been sexin'," left a bad taste in my mouth, but the rest wasn't that bad.
Then came the rap. Are you ready for more romantic poetry from Jay, ladies? Some words as foreplay:
Lets say your my hobby cause I’ll do you with a passion
Girl what you pitching I’mmah hit it like a fast ball
Make you say my name exclamation point caps on
Dag gon only chick badder than Michael Jackson
Yup and I’ll fuck yah tatts off once in a life time girl you’ve earned the last spot
Hit that ass raw and I’mmah make you gasp huhhhhhhh
Yeah your embedded in my head so get embedded in my bed/
Young cat but I’mmah veteran of sex
Gonna bust that in the middle center of yah legs
Fuck rap better get ready for whats next
Done.
I'm curious. My opinion on this mixtape has been made quite evident, but I really want to know what you all think. Do you love it? Hate it? Think it's funny and that's the only reason you're listening to it?
Go to Jay's YouTube channel and listen to the songs. Also, this website has all of the lyrics, and if I'm not mistaken, I think Jay put this up himself, so they're accurate.

Leave your comments below!

Oh, and sorry to Jay if you read this. I know you put a lot of work into this and I respect that ... but dude ... saying you'll fuck the tattoos off a girl is not in the least bit sexy. Women don't find that shit sexy.

Everything I've Missed All At Once

Oh, hello there! It's me, TKPA. I know, it's been so long since we've seen each other last. Did you cut your hair?

We all know I suck from time to time with this thing, but just because I have been absent from the K-Pop scene doesn't mean I've neglected it completely. Here is mostly everything I have missed:

Heechul Enlists, Army is Now Fierce

Photobucket

I have never been able to picture Heechul in the army. There is just a certain quality about him. I guess it's the fact that he likes to dress up as a Korean Lady Gaga -- and no, that is not a comment about his sexuality, it's a comment on how he likes to stand out. Heechul does not like to blend in and be "like everyone else." And in the Army ... that's pretty much all it's about.

So when it finally came time to say bye-bye to that perfect complexion, a lot of his fans were heartbroken and scared. I just kept thinking, "Why is everyone freaking out? His leg injury will land him a desk job." Because of the metal rod in his leg, I doubt that the South Korean Army would require him to do anything physical, anything in the field. So if North Korea throws a hissy fit (let's hope not), Heechul will be safe and sound.

Still, it's sad that Super Junior has to go yet another lengthy time period without yet another member in tow. I will miss Heechul and all of the outlandish, arrogant things he does and I can't wait until he returns (until then, how about ALL of Super Junior just go enlist at the same time so two years, done and over with and we can get back to making music).

And then there was ...

Heechul Finishes Activites ... Why Didn't Kangin?

Photobucket

I saw in a few tweets that some people were upset that before enlisting, Heechul completed all sorts of activities, even filmed a new music video ... yet Kangin didn't. Well, unless you count his hands in "Sorry Sorry (Answer)." Maybe I didn't get the whole story or why people were upset ... but Kangin wasn't technically allowed to be a part of any of Super Junior's activities. He was still placed on hiatus stemming from his two drunken indiscretions, making it impossible for him to be a part of anything.

And taking a shot in the dark here, but I think that maybe he also wasn't in the right frame of mind at that time, maybe he was a little depressed at his actions. And maybe because he had let so many people he cared about down, he decided he needed a change and needed a chance to better himself. Personally, I would much rather Kangin come back to Super Junior because he in his heart is ready and is passionate about it, not come back because the group's schedule demands it.

More important than physical health is mental health. Remember that.

Oh, and there was also ...

Jay Park Goes Blonde and Has a Bajillion Stupid Tattoos

Photobucket
Seriously, Jay? There's just so much all going on with all of this.

Like, first of all ... blonde looks very weird on you. I know some idols can pull that unnatural shade off ... but you are definitely not one of them. You look like you're going to eat my soul or some freaky horror movie shit. I'm sorry, I know a lot of you liked it, but to me it doesn't suit him well. We all make mistakes, it's just hair. Easily fixable.

These tattoos, on the other hand ... really?

I'm all for someone getting a tattoo, I have nothing against them. Just don't get something stupid and insignificant and dear God, think about placement.

Photobucket

Stars on your neck? Seriously? Tattoo profiling here, but that makes me think that you are either: a) a stripper who has had drug problems and is trying to live a "clean" life, but can't seem to find an actual day job, b) a white girl from the suburbs who is auditioning for Step Up 12, c) a guest on Jerry Springer. Stars on the neck are as TRASHTASTIC as you can get.

Photobucket

The AOM tattoo ... okay, I get that it is something very meaningful and important to you (unlike the stars which is just fucking stupid) ... but the placement of it ... dude. Come on. You're killing me. Behind the ear? That is where girls get tattoos because they want to rebel and think "no one will ever see it because my hair will cover it, but just knowing it's there is good enough." STOP GETTING CHICK TATTOOS IN CHICK PLACES FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. I like the AOM tattoo because it's significant, but behind the ear?!

You're not gangster, Jay. If anything you remind me of the little bleach blond Chinese man in Rush Hour.

Photobucket

And I do not get this tattoo, nor can I even read it. All I can see is "Forever" and everything else is just a blurry mess. Down the forearm? Again, you're killing me. Did anyone close to you, as you were in the tattoo shop, the stenciled placement on your arm as you look in the mirror to see that it's in the right place, stop you and say, "Hey, you're going to be old one day. You're going to be wrinkly and shriveled and these tattoos are going to look like shit and you're going to scare your grandchildren, who will forever wonder if you were an infamous drug dealer in Korea?"

I hope you read this, Jay. And I hope you take my words into consideration as you ponder your next tattoo, which I strongly believe should be "Fuck You TKPA." I will put that on my Christmas cards for all eternity.

Speaking of Blondes and Tattoos ...

You all know how much I love G-Dragon, and that means that because I love him so much more than others (I'd say he's definitely in my top three), I have to be that much harder on him. There's no favoritism here!

Photobucket
I actually like this. I don't like it on the forearm, but it's different and it's artsy, which describes GD completely. I think it could have been placed somewhere else, but I don't have a big problem with it. I have a bigger problem with what he's wearing -- I didn't know that cut off bermuda shorts were popular with the men in Korea.

However ...

Photobucket

I had no idea what the hell this was. To be honest, I still have no idea. I was never into Dragon Ball Z, if that is even where this is from. I do not know if there's any significance to it, this honestly confuses the hell out of me. It really does. I don't really like it (partly because I don't understand it) but I will admit that I do think it's stupid.

More importantly, I just wanted to post a picture of G-Nips on the blog.

I have also heard that he had three tattoos done ... and so far we've seen two. So if that rumor is actually true and there is one more piece of body art left to be discovered, what is it and where is it located? Any thoughts on what it could be?

And could someone please tell me what this second tattoo means?

TAE TAE ALTERED THE FAUX HAWK. RED ALERT. RED ALERT.

It was like the Earth was going to implode or something when Taeyang dyed the tips of his legendary faux hawk a dirty blonde.

Photobucket

When I first heard about it, I thought he changed his whole hairstyle. And I was so scared because there is only so much that boy can do with the existing amount of hair he has, so I honestly believed he shaved his head. And I was about to cry because baldy Tae Tae is not acceptable. Then I saw that my beloved little spikey 'do was still intact, just freshened up a bit.

Quite frankly, I could care less if he dyed it rainbow colors. Just as long as he doesn't have a bald head or corn rows or dreads. Anything else, I'm good with.

Tae Tae's Older Brother -- Hot or Eh?

Photobucket

I know some of you think Taeyang's older brother is hot and gorgeous and looks just like Tae ... I don't see it. I mean, they have the same eyes ... but that's about it. Taeyang -- in my opinion -- is way hotter and definitely twenty times more gorgeous than this brother. You don't have to agree, that's fine. And if you want to jump the Tae ship and go after his bro, thinking "I'll never get Tae, but his brother looks enough like him so it doesn't matter," .... well, one you're an awful human being. And two, that's less competition for me, so go ahead and be awful so I can have Tae Tae all to myself.

He's cute, I don't think that family can produce ugly ... but I'm too obsessed with Tae to settle.

I'm willing to sacrifice my claim in the oldest brother so that you all may have equal fighting and sharing rights. How selfless of me, I know.

One Way: Peter, Young Sky ... Where's My Chance? (WARNING: ALL CAPS)

Photobucket

WHERE IS MY KOREAN JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE AND WHY ISN'T HE IN THE ONE WAY TRIO ANYMORE?

WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON HERE? WHAT HAPPENED? I HAVEN'T BEEN AWAY THAT LONG HAVE I?

WHY DON'T PETER AND SKY TALK TO CHANCE ANYMORE ON TWITTER? WHY ISN'T HE IN THEIR COVERS? AND IF HE ISN'T IN ONE WAY, WHY IS HIS TWITTER NAME STILL "ONEWAYCHANCE"? DOES HE THINK WE WON'T LOVE HIM ANYMORE IF THEY ADMIT HE ISN'T IN THE GROUP?

OR IS HE JUST PULLING A BEYONCE AND JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE AND DOING SOME PRODUCING ON HIS OWN RIGHT NOW BUT HE'LL BE BACK SOON MAKING BEAUTIFUL MUSIC WITH PETER AND SKY AND MAKE MY EARS GO TINGLE TINGLE EVERY TIME HE SINGS?

I NEED CHANCE IN MY LIFE, GUYS. I NEED ALL THREE ONE WAY BOYS IN 1/3 DOSES.

EVEN CHANCE'S BROTHER DOESN'T HAVE "CHANCE FROM ONE WAY'S BRO" IN HIS TWITTER INFO ANYMORE. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

THEY'VE TURNED ME INTO A CRAZY PERSON. I NEED HIS BEAUTIFUL VOICE AND I NEED PETER'S VOICE AND I NEED SKY'S RAPS. THEY ALL WORK TOGETHER PERFECTLY AND THAT IS WHY WE LOVE THEM.

I'm going to cry :(

Seriously, those are all legit questions and I really hope that whatever is going on between them, they are able to work out and continue making great music together and continue making us adore them. Though we all want to know what is going on, I know that it isn't our place to know and that it is a private matter between the three of them. I will say that even if they are splitting up and they will no longer be the trio we've all come to love and connect with, I and many others will continue to support and love all of them.

Like many fans, I not only appreciate One Way because of their music, but because of their dedication to their fans. Sure, they hadn't been the most popular in Korea, but by reaching out to us on Twitter, they gained fans from all over and connected with us. I really am appreciative for that, because not many of our favorite idols are able to reply to us, and if they do it is only to a handful of people very rarely.

If the guys are reading this (not likely, but you never know; for all I know Peter could have bookmarked the blog so he'd know if anymore "bomb" cookies were on his way to him), I do hope that whatever happened between you is worked out. Not for the fans, but for yourselves and the friendship you all have.

Until then I'll wait patiently for the answers and hope that this is all just a rough patch.

Who the Eff is Heart2Heart?

So I haven't been the most active lately, but as you can see I have been paying attention to what is going on. And I've been seeing a lot of people on Twitter talking about "Heart2Heart" and I have been so confused as to who these guys are and why they're relevant to K-Pop.

And then I found out that the guy who is doing their mixing, also did it for BIGBANG and 2NE1. And THEN I found out that they are like the little proteges for Lance freaking Bass and I was like HELL YES. Because you should all know by now that *NSYNC covered my walls in my teeny bopper years, that I went to EVERY tour, and when/if JT ever gets his head out of his ass, I will be the first in line to buy tickets to a reunion tour, because *NSYNC kicks BSB's ass any day. They were and will always be my ultimate bias.

So, anyway ... the affliation with Lance has me hooked. I don't need to know anymore about these guys, they have the stamp of approval in my book.

But just for kicks ... from left to right, their ranking on the TKPA Hot-o-Meter (sucky name, but it does the job!) from 1-10:

Photobucket

Brayden: 5 (Don't dig the blonde hair, blue eyes look)
Nico: 10 (Helloooo)
Chad: 8 (You look a little too douchey for my liking, but still hot)
Pete: 5 (Blonde hair, blue eyes)
KX: 10 (Helloooooooooooooooooooo)

Oh, if only you were actually Korean, I could blog about KX and Nico all the time. So sad.

My Super Junior Babies ARE ON FIRE

HOLY SHIT GUYS.

THIS IS AMAZING.

PURE AMAZING.

TOO MUCH AUTOTUNE, BUT I DON'T CARE.

FINALLY SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T SOUND OR LOOK LIKE "SORRY SORRY."

I am sooooo incredibly stoked and giddy and excited about this. You have no idea. They all look so sexy and FLAWLESS and the song itself is sexy and powerful and gets you amped up. It's PERFECT. ABSOLUTELY PERFECTION.

You know looks really hot in this, not just hot but really good? Shindong. Whatever he's been doing, keep it up, because he looks slim and confident and that's always sexy. Siwon ... holy crap I almost lost it. He looks scary sexy, like sinister sexy. And Leeteuk ... oh, yes please! THEY ALL LOOK SO AMAZING I WANT TO KIDNAP AND KEEP THEM ALL.

I want more of THIS from SuJu. This is what they should have given us instead of "Mr. Simple." That was too much like "Sorry Sorry" and I wanted to see what else they can do without it saying, "Remember us? We did that one song that everyone loved! If you loved that, you'll love this too!"

They just showed me what else they can do, and now I will shut up and watch this a thousand more times because I honestly cannot get enough of this.

Memories of Korea

The other day I had a follower say he sent me an email and wanted me to take a look at a video he compiled about his recent trip to Korea.

It's a really great way to show life in South Korea and you should take the time to watch it. Follow Pat at @patleezy on Twitter and, rather than comment here what you thought about it, tell him. I'm sure he'll appreciate the direct feedback.

So this ends my massively long blog post, and you should all be commenting your little butts off because I have literally been typing this for three hours straight. So comment, retweet, send to all of the people that have been mentioned in this post (because like always, I will do the same and if they see the same link sent fifty times, they're bound to see it).

Have a great day and a great rest of the week if I don't have a chance to get on here again (maybe Thursday, but we'll see!)

Jay Park has Abandonment Issues

It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside to see Jay Park back and singing in Korean where his ass belongs. Yes, we know you're a bboy at heart and that will never change, but dude we missed you. And there are only so many videos of you singing in your bathroom that we can handle. Unless you want to spice things up and sing in the shower, you're better off back in music videos and on stage.

And hopefully now that silly feud with some other guys will be put to rest .............. hint, hint.

Already "Abandoned" is stuck in my head. I don't know what he's saying, but when do I ever? Hell I have a hard enough time trying to decipher this guy's English tweets. I really like this video and I didn't find anything that I thought was ridiculous or stupid or just a horrible, horrible choice and shouldn't have ever happened. I mean, it's not like his hair was ridiculously shaved to look like sunglasses a la Kanye West or anything.

Photobucket

..... oh.

Well, it's not as if the choreography was laughable with things mimicking every day life like hailing a cab in New York City or hitchhiking your way across the country.

Photobucket

..... at least he didn't incorporate miming into it.

Photobucket

..... really?

And in other news, holy push-up bra, Batman.

Photobucket

Jay, I figured out why you were "abandoned." Do you see her face?

Photobucket

Do you see that expression? The "kill me now before he says one more freaking word" expression? Look at her! She's wearing a bra that is constricting and forcing her cleavage up to her chin, no doubt she has on a pair of spanx underneath that dress, even though she probably starved herself for two days in order to zip it up for your date that night, and she spent two freaking hours on her damn hair and she got waxed in some places that were never meant for hot wax ... and you sit there and cry and whine and totally kill the sexy, romantic mood she has created by physically altering her body?

NO WONDER SHE LEFT YOU.

I'd leave you too!

PS -- I am totally buying you new earrings. Those have been in your ears since the "Again and Again" days and that's another reason she left you! BUY YOU AND HER SOME EARRINGS (preferably not matching) AND MAKE IT UP TO HER, YOU ASS.

Check out the new MV for "Abandoned" by Jay Park!

My Recent Suicide Mission/Humiliation

Photobucket
(Credit to jaypark.com)

I don't know if this will go anywhere, but I figured, "Why the hell not try?" No harm in that, right?

Feel free to laugh at me, because I know for sure this will either go unseen or will automatically be deleted. (Plus, I was laughing the whole time while writing this).

Subject: Interview Request (It's a Long Shot)
From: kpopaddict@live.com
To: info@jaypark.com

My name is [blah blah blah], better known in the K-Pop world as "The K-Pop Addict." I own and operate the blog, Confessions of the K-Pop Addict, which has readers all over the globe and has very recently been featured in the recent issue of Sparkling magazine (based out of the Philippines), alongside other top K-Pop websites such as http://www.allkpop.com/ and http://www.soompi.com/.

I realize this is sort of like a suicide mission in terms of requesting a brief interview with Jay, but it's a risk I'm willing to take. I have shied away from featuring Jay on the blog for quite some time, as it seemed that there was so much emotion surrounding his former situation. Whenever I would try to feature him there was always a reader or two who did not understand the humor behind the words. Now that I feel like his past is behind him and he's starting anew and succeeding beautifully, I would like to interview him (via e-mail) on a more personal level but about his current life and not about his past (i.e. nothing about 2PM or him leaving Korea. It's time we all moved on from that).

That might not seem like a "suicide mission," but I haven't gotten to the part where I actually inform you what the blog is based around. It's only fair that I provide you every post written about Jay, so you may get the feel of the style of writing. This is the suicide part.

http://www.thekpopaddict.com/search/label/park%20jaebeom

Thank you for your time and consideration and please feel free to laugh and delete this email once you're finished reading.

TKPA :)
Yes, I gave his management team the link to every post written about Jay. And if you click that link ... let's just hope that Jay has a sense of humor.

Just thought I would share and if for some unlikely reason I get a positive response (aka "YES"), I will share that with you. For now let's just assume it's a fat "N-O." I'm content with that.

Um ... Jay ...

Okay, let me just say, first of all I am very glad that you decided to not name your fan club Bumblebee because that's just ... well ... very preteen. Job well done for having the entire new fandom be called the Jay Effect, with each little member within a Jaywalker.

Did I contemplate crossing over and abandoning 2PM because I am totally liking the fact of being called a "Jaywalker?" Yes, I did. Then I saw a picture of Chansung and I came back to my senses. I support you both in all your future endeavors (whether it be separately or as a reunited group), but my love for the six boys is collectively bigger than my love for you.

However ... just because I love you slightly less does not mean you can go about looking like a fifteen-year-old.

Photobucket

What happened to our beastly idol who would rip off his shirt and ... and ... not look underage while doing so?

This just breaks my heart. You're no longer the sexy, mega Korean idol. Now you just remind me of the kid who aced every math test sophomore year in high school. There was nothing sexy about that kid, Jay. Nothing sexy at all.

Do whatever you need to do in order to regain your former ultimate hotness. Shave something into the side of your head, if you must. Shave that damn new logo with the cross-walk stick figure posing like a "b-boy" you were talking about in your new YouTube video. Whatever you need to do, I support it.

Just ... stop looking like a fifteen-year-old and maybe, just maybe, I will consider sending you a pair of TKPA boxers.

Maybe.

Am I really not allowed to post anything pertaining to Jay without someone bitching about it? Really? He's not God, people. Have a sense of humor.

Birthday Messages for Jay

Someone really awesome has created a website for all of you to wish Jay a happy birthday, which as you know is April 25th.

Rather than you all spamming the hell out of the Art of Movement's Facebook page on that day, you can leave your birthday messages to Jay on this website. On his birthday, she will post the URL to the site onto AOM's Facebook page. You can send short messages and can even include pictures or video.

Everything you need to know can be found here!

Wish Jay a happy birthday and show him lots of love! Who knows, maybe he'll even post a YouTube video thanking you all.

I Couldn't Help It

Photobucket

I didn't want to do this, I really did not.

But my lust for abs took over, and I just wanted to post this and stare at it.

Yes, I do miss you Eight Pack Abs Jay. Mainly because I have not been able to see you rip your shirt off. Instead, Sexy Beast Taek has stepped up and fulfilled that, so it's not like I haven't been totally deprived of instantaneous sex. Still, though.

It's nice you see those abs of yours. And I see you've added a couple more ripples into the mix. I applaud your efforts. Next video you make, though, rip the shirt off completely, because the ab flash belongs to King of Foreplay.

TKPA

Jay on YouTube ... Interesting

Yeah, you all know Eight Pack Abs Jay posted a video of him singing "Nothing on You" last night on YouTube.

I'm not going to blog about that, because everyone and their K-Pop loving mother is talking about it right now and quite frankly I don't care that he posted a video of him singing in his bathroom.

There are two important things about the video that have clued us in on how he's been spending his time in Seattle:

1. He still has abs. His TKPA nickname holds true.
2. He still has shaved eyebrows. Well, done, Jay.

No, seriously, the only reason I am writing this right now is because of what he typed in his YouTube account profile.

2pm 욕은안했으면좋겠어요 애들착하고 좋은애들이예요 오해안하셨으면좋겠습니다. ^ ㅠ
2pm fighting!
i dont want you guys to hate on 2pm on behalf of me cause i still love those guys and likewise. they're still my homies. if you dont want to support them thats cool you know but i just want everyone to get along and move on and all do great things know what i'm sayin? =)
You know what he's saying?

Quit hating. Your God Jay said so himself.

Now how many Coldests are warming up to "6PM" right about now?

Get the Fuck Over It, Hottests

Dear Hottests,

Jay is gone. Your "leadja" is not returning to 2PM. There will be six members to the group. 7 - 1 does not equal 0, it equals six. A six-membered 2PM does not make them 6PM. Jay is in America. He is home, where he belongs. Boycotting does nothing. Making threats to kill yourself in front of the JYPE building does nothing but make you look like an idiot.

Get the fuck over it and move on.

I will be the first to admit that I would love to see Jay back in the group, but I have also stated from day one that I didn't believe he'd be back anytime soon, if he came back at all. BECAUSE THIS IS THE MUSIC INDUSTRY AND THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING BUT MAKING MONEY.

Honestly, Jay fucked up. He did. Was it right for all of South Korea to react the way they did? No, absolutely not. But it still doesn't change the fact that he fucked up. Twice, according to the JYPE official statement. I don't know what Jay did, nor do I care. If it's as horrible as everyone is making it out to be, why the hell would you want to know that?

Why are you demanding that what he did be released to the public? You keep saying Hottests deserve to know ... actually, you don't deserve to know. Because that is personal. That is something that impacts Jay's life, Junsu's life, Junho's life, Wooyoung's life, Nichkhun's life, Taekyeon's life, and Chansung's life directly. IT DOES NOT IMPACT YOU. IT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.

And even if they did release the reason, how could YOU be so selfish in demanding that? Yeah, that's right. It's selfish of you to demand it. Have you ever thought about what EXACTLY it could be? Have you ever thought that if it is so bad that no one can speak of it, that it could very well DESTROY Jay's life? Are you all really that selfish that you need to satisfy yourself, give yourselves peace of mind rather than hope and pray that whatever it is Jay did will not harm his NEW life in America? If you're all so interested in protecting "Leadja," then shouldn't you be demanding NOT to have this reason released?

Also, this boycott is the stupidest thing ever. Don't listen to them. Go ahead. A six-membered 2PM has actually been doing fine without Jay. You know why? Because they're talented and because rational people recognize that even though they are one less member, their talent has not changed. But go ahead and turn your backs on the men you once loved and obsessed over. Way to claim to be a Hottest.

I honestly don't blame them for saying that 2PM would be better without Jay. Because they have been doing fine without him, and because they have to worry about THEMSELVES and their families and their lives and their futures. Can you honestly blame them for looking out for themselves? Jay screwed up, whatever he did that is so horrendous could also screw up their future. Again, if you claim to be Hottests, you'd be supportive of the future of Junsu, Junho, Wooyoung, Taekyeon, Nichkhun, and Chansung.

I just have to also mention that I heard some people actually talking about committing suicide outside of the JYPE building. I hope that is just a rumor, and nothing serious, because that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. You're really going to end your life because Jay is not coming back to 2PM? Okay, great. Make ALL SEVEN men live in guilt for the rest of their lives because you're a fucking dumbass.

I will support 2PM. 2PM consists of Junsu, Junho, Taekyeon, Wooyoung, Nichkun, and Chansung. I will not boycott this nor will I sign any petitions against them, so don't bother asking me to even spread the word. With or without Jay, I support 2PM.

With that said, I will also support Jay in whatever he decides to do in life. If he somehow makes it here in the American music industry, I will support him. If he decides to stay out of the limelight and live a quiet life in Seattle, then I will support him. If you love him as much as you claim you do, you'd do the exact same thing.

7 - 1 = 6

Oh, and feel free to unfollow me on Twitter or leave hate comments below. It doesn't bother me. You've all asserted your feelings and opinions VERY strongly since September. I feel I should be able to do the same.

And then there is part two of this post ...

TKPA

And the Winners Are ...

#5 Jaebeom, with a total of twelve votes.

Jumping from #7 to #5 isn't bad. It's amazing how your lust and obsession for this man still hasn't faded. But I know you've been watching countless clips of Eight Pack Abs Jay grinding and I know whenever you listen to "All Night Long," you're thinking of him and how that song was made for him to perform to. Who knows? Maybe he does dance to it. In his bedroom. In front of his mirror. In his underwear.

#4 Taeyang, with a total of fourteen votes.

In November, the King of Foreplay was #2 with twenty-four votes. True, it was right after "Where U At" and "Wedding Dress," where he was just ovary-exploding-sexy ... but still, the amount of wavering love your cervix has shown this King is sad. It's okay, Tae-Tae. I still love you.

#3 G-Dragon, with a total of fifteen votes.

#3 last time, #3 this time. We don't know what the hell it is about this guy, but our ovaries know what's up. That's all that matters.

#2 Taekyeon, with a total of twenty votes.

In November, he was #4. I blame the ripping-of-the-shirt-and-revealing-abs performance(s), the busting through ice all angry-sexy, the giant sex scream, and of course him saying, "Shhhh." You win, Sexy Beast Taek. YOU WIN.
#1 T.O.P, with a total of twenty-seven votes.

You knew it, I knew it. I swear it will be a cold day in K-Pop Hell when this man is not number #1.

Voting will come back in May! Thanks for voting, and if you didn't ... well, you suck!

L-O-L-tastic 2PM

What can I say about this? There's just too much going on all at once for me to even write about, but I'll do my best to break it down, TKPA-style, one member at a time.

Photobucket

Wooyoung and Sexy Beast Taek are in the background acting like dorks and dancing like white boys.

Eight Pack Abs Jay realizes how idiotic they look and tries to back away with that little dance move so they don't notice. Good one, Jay.

Nichkhun is sad that I noticed SBT and Woo and Jay first, but then he perks up and winks and blows me a kiss. The wink is the code that we have to meet for dinner and dessert (aka, mindblowing sex). After all, we have to work on procreating a mixed baby.

Big Booty Junee and Junsu want me to pay more attention to them, thus the ripping of the shirt right off their bodies. Very nicely done, guys. You have my full attention.

Beastly Maknae knows how to take control of that TKPA-spotlight, though. You see how nonchalantly he unzips his shirt, flashes those pecs and abs, and gives a little grrr-face? Bravo, maknae. Bravo.

Oh. My. God.

Do I really have to say anything? I mean, are you going to read this? Are you even reading this right now? I doubt it. I think you're more focused on that eight pack, and those cutting hip dips, and those pecs, and that bulging vein running down his huge bicep, and the angry yet sexy stare that he's giving the camera.

Of course you aren't reading this.

I give him a 10. And if I really have to explain why I'm giving him a 10, then you need to go to the DMV and change your license to say that you are legally blind.

1 – Did absolutely nothing for me
3 – Ehh, I've seen better
5 – Definite potential, but not my cup of tea
8 – Jaw-dropping
10 – Self-combustion

I'm expecting a lot of "shipjeom manjeome shipjeom" comments on this one.

You know the deal, either comment or tweet me your rating and at the end of day, Eight Pack Abs Jay will be judged. You have until midnight!

END RESULT: I know there is still another half an hour 'til it closes, but I received only four nines. The rest have been 10. It's safe to say that Jay is a solid 10. Shipjeom manjeome Shipjeom!

Leave Jay Park Alone

I have been wanting to say this for a very long time, but because I honestly do fear the wrath of pissed off Hottests, I've kept my mouth shut and fingers silenced.

While I do support the efforts made by Hottests internationally to bring attention to their departed leader, and I think what they've done is so overwhelming and cannot be described in a few simple phrases, and while I still believe that if the Hottests wanted to solve world hunger, they could ... I can't help but think that it's just time to let go.

Not give up hope, but just let go.

There are many factors surrounding the situation that we do not know about, that we will never know about. The music industry is a very dirty business, filled with politics and men wanting to become even richer than they already are. The whole situation with Jay leaving South Korea and JYP being blamed is being portrayed as black and white.

Jay is the victim, JYP is the villain. Case closed.

There are a lot of gray areas, though, along with a lot of conspiracy theories. We will never know what truly happened, what conversations Jay had with JYP before leaving South Korea, what conversations he had with him after he left. We'll never know what went through Jay's thoughts, what he is feeling right now about this whole ordeal.

Like I said, I respect the Hottests and all of their efforts. You guys have accomplished and organized extraordinary things. However, spamming JYP's Twitter account and telling him that he should rot in Hell is extreme, unnecessary, and offensive. Would you like it if someone told you to rot in Hell? No, you wouldn't. And you especially wouldn't like it if people from all over the world were saying that to you. Also, creating a Twitter account called "followmeGorilla" is more sad than humerous. It's sad that you guys have accomplished so much in a mature manner, yet a few of you have taken it upon yourselves to revert back to being twelve-years-old.

I thought Hottests were all about "Love and Respect?" That's not very loving and that is extremely disrespectful. I know you're all better than that.

Photobucket

We all know you want Jay back as leader to 2PM. I want that too, honestly. I really do want to see him with Junsu, Wooyoung, Nichkhun, Taekyeon, Junho, and Chansung, on stage once again. That's where he belongs.

But you can't rush this situation. There are still many people who are angry and upset over what he said four years ago. It should have never escalated and resulted to this from the start, but unfortunately it did. Jay made a mistake and eventually all mistakes are forgiven. I just feel like there needs to be time. Time for the anger to subside, time for the issue to be forgotten about.

When it is time for Jay to come back, he'll come back. He isn't ready, though. And you have to respect his decision.

KBS traveled to Seattle in hopes to get an interview with him. They basically stalked him around the city, talking to the local Korean-Americans, talking to his neighbors, showing up at a place where his younger brother is known to hang out with friends, talking to his friends, and showing up at the same place as Jay and shoving a camera in his face.

His brother even said, "He stays home a lot." Meaning that during one of the very few times Jay decided to live a normal life -- a life he used to live, a life that cannot be given to him in South Korea -- he was denied that and quickly left. I know you've all seen the footage (if not, it's here), but did you see how at peace he looked when he first showed up to the dance battle? Did you see how happy he was to just be with his friends, be with people who are not screaming his name, who are not fawning over him?

He was not Jaebeom, the leader of 2PM. He was Jay Park, the Korean-American, Seattle native, being like any other twenty-two-year-old and hanging out with his friends.

And that was ruined once he saw the camera. He was tense, he didn't want to be there anymore. He tried enjoying one night of normalcy, one night of being JAY PARK, but he wasn't able to. He left just as quickly as he arrived.

I honestly do think he needs to be left alone. He will not forget how much you love him, how much you want him to return. He knows. I love Jay and I wish him the best in whatever he does in life, whether it be with 2PM or if it's without them. Either way, whatever happens and whatever he decides to do in the future, Jay just needs to be left alone.

I'm not saying that you should stop assembling flash mobs or stop sending him things, that you should give up hope that he'll return. I'm just saying to lighten the efforts just a bit, because the more you do, the more the Korean media stays focused on it, and the more the issue stays in everyone's mind.

The only way he will come back is when this issue's negativity is forgotten.

The Perfect Man

If I were to take bits and pieces from my favorite Korean sex-idols, composing the perfect man, he'd look something like this:
  1. Height: Siwon is six-feet tall and I love tall men.
  2. Eyes: Donghae totally wins in this department, because his eyes are always so warm and bright. Also, they're filled with mischeif and that's sexy.
  3. Lips: My future husband Leeteuk wins hands down. I just want kiss him and kiss him and kiss him. That bottom lip of his is so luscious.
  4. Hair: I'm not really for the shaggy hair look, but for some reason, Kyuhyun looks completely geek-chic with his shaggy hair, and I love it.
  5. Smile: Even though Sexy Beast Taek has said he hates it when fans say he's "rich in teeth," I love it when those big pearly whites gleam whenever he smiles.
  6. Voice: You already know whose voice my perfect man would have. The Sex God has the best moan ... ever.
  7. Jaw: Taeyang is the winner. My God his jaw is pure sex.
  8. Body: Jaebeom wins, as I want my man to have hip dips that put Cristiano Ronaldo to shame and also eight-pack abs.
  9. Sense of humor: Nichkhun can make me laugh insanely hard, and if you can make me laugh insanely hard, I'll pretty much love you forever.
  10. Personality: I love how G-Dragon seems so carefree and bright with his personality. He's a hard worker, which I admire, and he knows when it's time to be serious, but in general, he's just an incredible person to be around.
Whose features would you choose to create your perfect man?

What's Missing From This Picture?

Photobucket

Can you tell me what's missing from this picture of the end of 2PM's performance of "Again and Again" at last night's Dream Concert?

Of course you can. It's very hard not to notice. There's just a big, gaping hole right in the middle that can only be filled by eight pack abs belonging to a certain Korean-American.

The good news about the boys from last night's performance is this:

Look at the angry-hot-sex-face Sexy Beast Taek has going on.

Photobucket
Yes, please.

I will continue to nag all you Hottests out there until at least ten of you call him by his proper nickname and spread the word. And I can get obnoxious, just a forewarning.

Asian Men and Their Jaw-o-Heaven

You know how certain guys have that square jaw that sort of juts out, popping out of the side of their head so fierce that it makes you catch your breath as you marvel over their perfect genetics and wonder if you were to procreate with that man at that very moment, would the son you'd spawn have that same jaw?

I have come to the conclusion that 90% of Asian men (not just Koreans) have that specific type of jaw. I love that jaw.

A plethora of my favorite idols have it: Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, Siwon, Zhou Mi, Donghae has a hint of one, G-Dragon, T.O.P., Taeyang, Sexy Beast Taek, Park Jaebeom, just to name a FEW.

Even a non K-Pop idol, a Japanese-American actor has it (whom I am also infatuated with and refuse to name names, because the chances of him reading this are ten times more probable and more likely than any of the aforementioned sex gods. He knows who he is). And oh yes, I marvel over its ability to pop out of the side of his face.

You name a hot idol, chances are they have that jaw. Minimize this screen right now and look at your background (because you know damn well your boytoy is gracing your computer screen with his presence) and check out his jaw.

Bless those Asian genes.

Jay, I Hope You Feel the Love.

Because your fans have totally gone above-and-beyond to let you know just how much they want you back where you belong, bb.

I know I said that I wasn't going to post about Park Jaebeom any more, unless one of three things happened. This is too juicy not to talk about, so I just had to do a post on it. (I can justify almost anything. It's a gift).

Photobucket
Seriously, if I was Jay, I probably would've cried seeing this.
Photo courtesy of JaySkyMsg over at Twitter

Congrats to all of the Hottests who successfully pulled this off. I really don't think I've ever seen a group of fans this dedicated. It's truly an overwhelming sight, and I know that right now in Seattle, your beloved 2PM leader is feeling all of your love. And pretty much all of Seattle is feeling it too.

Next I think you need to fly a banner over NYC or wherever the hell JYP is currently at and tell him what a douchbag he is. I kid, I kid.

Hopefully, we can all see this once again in the future. Sooner than later, preferably:

Park Jaebeom, I Love You. And by Love, I Mean “Obsess Infinite Amounts Over.”

I wish the whole ordeal of former 2PM member, Jaebeom, never happened. Because not only is this guy no longer granting us all the privilege of hearing his gorgeous voice, but he is one less pretty (and muscular) Korean for me to look at. That should be a good thing, seeing as how I’m supposed to be overcoming my addiction to K-Pop (who am I kidding with that, anyway?!). It definitely is not a good thing, though.

Park Jaebeom, how we'll miss you.

So, I’m writing this as my one and only blog entry to get my obsession out of my system, because I can no longer afford to ogle over someone that I cannot see perform as the leader of 2PM. And I know that the Hottest (the official name for 2PM fans) are protesting and boycotting events of the now six member group until their precious leader is restored to his rightful place, but I honestly do not see that happening any time soon. Not trying to put a downer on all of you Hottest out there, but realistically speaking, unless your boy and Park Jin-young (CEO and founder of JYP Entertainment) work out the whole sticky situation, then Jaebeom will more than likely stay in America.

Which sucks for all of you in Asia (and everywhere else in the globe), but it is quite a happy thought for those fans who reside in the States. Honestly, I think that if he is still under contract with JYPE, then he needs to get out of it and focus on making a name for himself here in America. He’ll do exceptionally better in the American market than he ever would have just staying within the Asian countries. Not just here, domestically, but internationally as well. How many major musicians and actors and actresses that are internationally known are American? The answer is a lot. Because we pimp our citizens out hardcore, treating them like high-class whores.

And Jaebeom, darling … you are an American-born citizen. Embrace the whoring out of your American career.

Your hip dips put Cristiano Ronaldo to shame.

The controversy revolving around Park Jaebeom (or shall I call him Jay Park since he’s now back home in America?) stems from a silly MySpace comment he left when he first traveled to South Korea to become a trainee for JYPE—four years ago! The American teenager told a friend, “I hate Korea. Koreans are gay.” Which, in the States, that might not seem like such a bad thing, seeing as how it’s common teenager slang to refer to something that is dumb (not that teenagers referring to something as “gay” is okay, because it does offend homosexuals and it should never be used in a negative manner). But when that’s literally translated into Korean … holy cow, it’s like the ultimate Yo Mama joke.

People made a huge deal out of nothing, out of a cultural and linguistic misunderstanding, and in fear of possible backlash against the entire group, Jaebeom did the correct thing (in my honest opinion) and left the group. Hundreds of fans went to the airport to beg him not to get on the plane to go back home, but what they don’t understand is what could have happened if he stayed. And they also don’t understand that while their intentions of boycotting in hopes to get Jaebeom's and JYPE's attention and to call for his return to South Korea are noble, and the amazing unity that has occurred between Hottest all over the globe, their efforts are pointless. It’s about politics, folks.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely and one-hundred percent want him to remain active in the music industry, but I don’t think it will be with 2PM, and if it is with 2PM, it will not be any time soon. Enough of all that, though.

Jaebeom is lovable for a lot of reasons.

One, looking at him, I can’t help but think dirty thoughts. Two, I really want to lick chocolate syrup or whip cream off of his abs. Hell, I am even willing to eat kimchi off of his body, and that is saying a lot because I cannot stomach the smell of Korea’s beloved dish. I just can’t.

Does this really need a witty caption?

Jaebeom’s dance moves are insane. I could dedicate a whole blog post to his dance ability, but I won’t do that because, again, this will be my one and only post regarding him and my obsession of him. But, for a little teaser, just a quick taste of the sick moves, here are a few links I highly recommend. I suggest you either: clear the surrounding area free of furniture, as seeing him will make you want to attempt his flawless movements, or keep some Kleenex nearby, because ladies you will need to wipe the slight drool that will escape your mouth. (The last video has made me a firm believer that Jaebeom is an absolute dirty freak in the bedroom. If you don't find it temperature-rising-sexy, then please let me know where you are located so I can call the nearest mental health facility and have you checked in).

Until Jaebeom either: A. returns to 2PM and remains the leader, B. embarks on a solo career here in America (unlikely, but my deep wishful thinking), or C. something incredibly juicy happens in regards to the current crap-hole of a situation, I will not obsess over him further nor write about him in detail, other than the occasional mention and link back to this post. It’s too devastating and heartbreaking for me to deal with.

Park Jaebeom, in the highly unlikely chance you will ever read this (still, have to put it as a precautionary thing so I don’t get put on an international stalker’s list or something), know that whatever you do, there will be millions of people around the world, supporting you. You are a super talented guy, and even though times might be dark right now, your future is indeed bright. Hang in there, lovely. Oh, and I also love you.

Yeah, definitely going to be on that list.

The K-Pop Addict

Step One: Admitting My Problem

I know exactly when it happened. It was May 9, 2009.

I logged onto my computer that afternoon, checking my usual websites [Facebook, Twitter, Myspace (which is rarely ever used), Kickette, DailyMail (why I choose to read British mags is another topic entirely), and of course, Perez Hilton]. It was on Perez that I first saw the video that has forever changed my life. I normally skip over the music videos he posts, but something deep within me said to give it a chance. Maybe it was the fact that the screencap of the video showed a lot of handsomely dressed Korean men, or maybe it was out of sheer boredom that I decided to watch it.

Either way, I fell in love.

If you've ever heard Korean pop, you can't deny that the beats are catchy. Sure, I don't know what they're saying 95% of the song (5% of it has broken English phrases incorporated into the lyrics), but it still makes me want to get out of my chair and DANCE, DANCE, DANCE. In the months following that fateful day, my tastes in K-pop have branched out a teeny bit. I used to subject my ears to nothing but one group, over and over, song after song, until I could sing the songs in Korean. And I can sing them in Korean.

And the one group I am referring to -- the group that I obsess over on a daily basis and that I swear I will marry at least one of these boys -- is none other than the amazing, talented, hilarious, and absolutely man-gorgeous, Super Junior.

From left to right: Shindong, Donghae, Yesung, Kangin (hat), Sungmin, Kyuhyun,
Kibum (top), Hankyung, Heechul, Eunhyuk, Ryeowook, Siwon, Leeteuk

Yes, there are thirteen of them. Yes, I know all of their names. And no, actually, none of them look similar. Let me just tell you, I am in love with these boys. I have over thirty of their songs that I repeatedly play on my iTunes, their entire 3rd album (which is absolutely incredible in every single way), and yes, there is even a poster (the above picture, actually) on my wall. I will have one of their babies, but that's something I'll hash out another day. And there will be plenty of posts as to why I love Super Junior, so I won't begin to explain it at the moment, but trust ... there are a lot of reasons.

Suggested Super Junior songs: "It's You," "Reset," "She Wants It," and "Let's Not."

Another K-pop boy band/idol group I currently have a fascination with is 2PM. I will admit that Super Junior can be a bit too ... feminine at times. But the (now six) boys of 2PM are anything but that. I say now six because the "leader" of the group has now left for an entirely-much-too-complicated-reason-for-me-to-even-get-into. (If you're curious, type "2PM Jaebeom" into any search engine, and you'll soon find your answers, as well as get a delicious eye full of [seriously] some of the hottest, muscular Korean men alive).

Back row: Chansung, Junsu, Wooyoung, Taekyeon
Front row: Junho, Jaebeom (departed), Nichkhun

I have a deep, deep crush on these boys. Their choreography is sick, their music is extremely addicting, and they aren't bad to look at, either. Which isn't always the most important thing, but it's a nice factor to include into the equation. I am very sad that Park Jaebeom has left the group, because the guy has a KILLER voice and he just oozes sex. And yes, that is an eight pack. I will miss not seeing him involved with 2PM, but on the plus side (as every dark cloud has a silver lining) this boy is: 1. American, 2. Back in Seattle. Which means that there is only the continental U.S. stopping me from stalking him, rather than the continental U.S. and the Pacific Ocean. (I kid, I kid. I'm too broke to go stalking Korean idols, and if I did have money, I'd be stalking any one of the Super Junior members or 2PM's Taekyeon).
Suggested 2PM songs: "Again and Again," and "10 Out of 10."
The other group that is somewhat involved with 2PM is 2AM. Catchy, huh? I have to admit, I haven't actually listened to any of their songs (yet), but they are on my list. However, this video has done more than enough to convince me to listen to them, and the hilarity of "leader" Jokwon's "English" skills has amused me endlessly.
I know I need help. I send clips and songs to my friends (namely one in particular, who we shall call from here on out The K-Pop Junkie) and they look at me as if I'm insane. And I can acknowledge why they think that. Hello, I am a white girl in love with Korean pop, completely and one-hundred percent addicted to it. It is my heroin, my alcohol. I need it like a crack junkie needs their next fix. American music just doesn't do it for me anymore, folks.
And it's not a serious addiction or anything that is hazardous to my health. Nothing like that. But when I catch and stop myself from answering "yes" in Korean (pronounced, "Ye," or "Ne") when my first language is English, that is a major problem.
Yours,
The K-Pop Addict
